Engine compartment – outer dash insulations

Depending on requirement, dash insulations in the engine compartment made from triflexadvanced or iboPUR are fitted with additional heat shields made from aluminium.
Here the separation of the heat shield from the fibre or foam element provides particular advantages:
better airborne sound absorption due to the distance between dash insulation and heat shield
optimized heat resistance
minimization of the required use of aluminium
low component weight
very long life span
