Insulations based on heavy layers or low-expansion foam are above all used in the "heavy" luxury class.
Even if we are doing our utmost to make all our products as light as possible in the spirit of our LowMass philosophy, it is sometimes necessary and an explicit customer requirement to use heavy layers or low-expansion foams for acoustic reasons.
These have essentially the purpose of separating the passengers from a sound source like the engine, for example, or the exhaust tract.
