The crucial element of our iboComb sandwich system is the core made from paper honeycomb. Depending on requirement, it is encased in either thermoplastic or thermoset bonded stabilising layers – usually consisting of glass fibres.
The extremely lightweight paper core in particular provides for an enormous weight reduction in carrier components like load floors and package trays. Moreover, the honeycomb structure contributes to meeting the highest demands on mechanical stress.
In future, iboComb is due to be used also in trim components like sliding headliners for panoramic roofs and covers for luggage compartments.
