150 years – one family
Our Management Board Team
Since July 2021 the management board team of Borgers SE & Co. KGaA has consisted of Jürgen Otto, Dr. Matthias Häberle and Andreas Rummert. Jürgen Otto is the chairman and CEO, supported by Dr. Matthias Häberle as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) as well as Andreas Rummert as Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Jürgen Otto has spent his entire professional life in the automotive supply industry. He first worked for more than 25 years for Brose. The family business develops and produces mechatronic components and systems for vehicle doors and seats as well as electric motors. Jürgen Otto started here in 1990 as logistics planner and held various executive positions from plant manager to the leadership of the business division of seat systems. From 2006 onwards he was responsible as chairman of the management board for the growth of the group to more than 6.2 billion Euros in 2018.
In January 2019 Jürgen Otto moved to the Dräxlmaier Group – also as CEO and chairman of the management board. The family business with its head office in Vilsbiburg in Lower Bavaria supplies premium vehicle manufacturers with complex wiring systems, central electric and electronic components, exclusive interior equipment as well as battery systems and most recently generated a turnover of around 5 billion Euros.
Dr. Matthias Häberle is a business graduate and achieved his doctorate at Göttingen University. He has more than 25 years of commercial leadership experience in international medium-sized companies in the sectors of automobile supply, plant construction, construction wholesale and mobility services. Most recently Matthias Häberle worked as CFO for the plant manufacturer ALD Vacuum Technologies in Hanau and then for the automotive supplier Veritas AG in Gelnhausen (Hesse).
Andreas Rummert has already been Chief Operating Officer and managing director in the automotive division of the Borgers Group since March 2020. After graduating as a business engineer Andreas Rummert worked, among other things, several years for the McKinsey consultancy firm and the pharmaceutical company Sandoz before changing in 2015 to the automotive supplier Hella, a specialist in lighting systems and vehicle electronics. Here he most recently managed the lighting business in the region Asia Pacific and in this position was at the same time a member of the executive board.
